More than a thousand people a year are spinally injured in the UK. Spinal injury can affect people of all ages but statistically the 15-35 year old age group are the most vulnerable.

As there are an increasing number of patients being discharged into the community with higher nursing needs, we have a strong focus on continued staff training and development to ensure individuals receive safe and effective care. Alongside our stringent screening process and mandatory training, we ensure that all of our workers receive bespoke specialised training that is relevant to the service user they will work with. We then carefully supervise their practical training to allow them to carry out the clinical tasks that are required. This process is constantly monitored, reviewed and assessed by a Lead Nurse to ensure that patient outcomes are always achieved.
