Job description

Apollo Home Healthcare has a permanent position available for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Rapid Response Team covering the Liverpool area.

This role is to support our existing care teams in delivering high quality complex care within our client’s own homes. As part of the Rapid Response Team you will be reacting quickly to packages that require additional support, as well as supporting the prompt discharge of new patients.

The role covers 30 hours per week on a rota basis and does involve travel across the Liverpool area, so driving is essential with access to your own vehicle. Mileage will be paid for an agreed proportion of miles.

The majority of our clients have complex clinical care needs which include tracheostomy care, oral and nasal suctioning, oxygen therapy and administering medication via PEG. We also support many clients with daily personal hygiene and moving and handling.

All clients have substantial and on-going complex healthcare needs and need a strong team of care staff to support their day to day life.

If successful you will receive a full training programme to include:

  • Comprehensive company induction.
  • All mandatory training including practical sign off in Manual Handling, BLS Adult & Child and Administration of medication
  • Complex theory training with clinical professionals in their field
  • Practical sign off and monitoring from a Clinical Lead

Whilst full training is provided we do require strong hands on care experience. We are looking for someone with a strong track record of working with clients with complex needs who can demonstrate clinical skills and experience.
