Job description

Healthcare Assistant - Complex Clinical Care

Location: Warrington

Salary: £9.00 - £13.00 – Once signed off as competent (includes weekend and bank holiday rate)

Shadowing Rate: £8.50 reduced rate until signed off.

Shifts: Waking nights (22:00 – 08:00) – Days are available 6 weekly and also during half term.

Are you experienced in delivering Health Care / Social Care within the community or a residential / nursing care setting?

Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care or do you already have Complex Care experience?

We are recruiting a new care team in Warrington to support a young gentleman who lives at home with his family. The area they live in has restricted bus routes therefore travelling on public transport is not ideal and drivers are preferred.

Our client suffers from frequent seizures, has a gastrostomy in situ, requires oral suctioning and is also non-verbal.

He enjoys lots of interaction from his care team and so we require applicants who are happy to sing, dance and engage in lots of fun activities!

We have night shifts available 22:00 – 08:00, Monday to Sunday and there will also be 8 hour day shifts available during half term. In addition to this, every six weeks, full weekend cover will be required for both days and nights.

Our ideal candidate will be a driver and will be able to demonstrate previous experience working within a care setting for a minimum of 6 months. It would be advantageous if you have complex clinical care experience but this is not essential as we offer full comprehensive, bespoke training for our client’s aspects of care.

This is a personally rewarding role where you can make a difference to our clients everyday lives.

If you are interested in this position and have the experience we are looking for, please do not hesitate to apply.

Please note that due to the clients request, we are only able to consider female applicants at present.

Why work for Apollo?

We are passionate about delivering the highest standard of care and we recognise that our employees are integral to doing this. In return for your hard work and dedication you will receive:

  • Excellent rates of pay
  • Full clinical training specific to your client's needs
  • Opportunity to work with other clients in the area
  • Ongoing professional training and development
  • 24/7 emergency on-call
