Childrens Assistant - Complex Care

Location: St. Helens

Salary: £9.00 - £11.00 *reduced rate whilst training

We can offer a confirmed rota & shifts to suit your needs over the following days and hours:

Days - 08:00 - 20:00, Monday to Sunday

Waking Nights, 20:00 - 08:00, Monday to Sunday

Do you have experience working with Children within a care setting?

Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care?

We are looking for someone who has experience working with children, ideally experienced in delivering complex clinical care to join our team in St. Helens.

Our client is a 3-year-old boy who has Pompes Disease, is ventilated and has a tracheostomy. He requires assistance with all aspects of his personal care.

The role will include interacting with this young boy and taking him out into the community. He is non-verbal but enjoys listening to and dancing to music. The role will begin in Manchester at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital however, he is currently starting a phased discharge home from the hospital, back to St. Helens.

Our ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate previous experience working with children in a care setting and it would be advantageous if you have complex clinical care experience. We require applicants to be drivers due to the commute to Manchester.

We offer full comprehensive training for our client’s clinical requirements if required. The training and shadowing period will be held at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital as our client is currently situated there. Once training is complete, care will continue to be delivered back at the client’s home in St. Helens.
