Job description

Children's Assistant - Complex Care

Location: Bury

*Salary: £9.25- £15.00 reduced rate whilst shadowing**

Hours / Shift Pattern: Days from 7:30am-8pm. Nights from 7:45pm-8am.

Do you have experience working with complex care?

Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career?

We are looking for someone who has experience working within complex care, preferably with a tracheostomy and ventilator, to come and join our team in Bury. We are looking for people who are career driven, and willing to commit to at least 3 shifts per week.

Our client is a 10 year old boy who has a tracheostomy, ventilated and has a PEG for all feeds and meds. He is insulin dependent which is controlled by the care assistants. He is also non-verbal, however he does communicate through Makaton.

He loves spending time with his family and going out in the community. He goes to school, therefore staff will support there. He also enjoys going to zoos, parks and out shopping. He has his own fully adapted room as well to support him with all of his needs.

Our ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate previous complex care experience, as well as a willingness to work on this package for a lengthy amount of time. On the job shadowing will take up to 6 weeks, including full time hours. We will need drivers for this position to take our client out in the community and to different activities.

We offer full comprehensive training for our client’s clinical requirements if required. This is a personally rewarding role where you can make a difference to our client and their family’s everyday lives.
