Job description

Job Title: Care Assistant

Location - Dewsbury

Pay Rate: £9.50-£13.00 *Shadowing rate will apply

Apollo Home Healthcare is currently providing a package of care to a baby who was born with a very rare condition, which has meant she has spent the first months of her life in hospital. We are now looking to recruit a team of female care assistants who can provide complex care to her when she goes home for the first time.

This lovely little baby was born with Marshall Smith Syndrome, which means she requires support with breathing and has a tracheostomy and humidifier. She is fed via a naso-gastric tube and has very limited vision. You will be required to support her complex clinical needs as well as providing stimulation and engagement through play, touch and sound.

The support of a dedicated care team is vital for this service user's parents who desperately want her to be at home with them in order to have a quality family life.

Because we are providing round the clock care we have shifts available both during the day and at night. Day time support will mostly be provided in mornings, but some flexibility will be required to meet the family’s needs. The care will be provided over 7 nights and so weekend working will be included on a rota basis.

Why work for Apollo Home Healthcare?

We specialise in the provision of highly complex clinical care services delivered in the homes of service users.

We are passionate about delivering the highest standard of care and we recognise that our Nurses, Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers are integral to doing this. In return for your hard work and dedication you will receive:

  • Flexible hours to suit
  • Confirmed rotas
  • Excellent rates of pay
  • Full clinical training
  • Opportunity to work with other service users in the area
  • Ongoing professional training and development

If you have the experience we are looking for, but the hours may not suit you on this position, please do not hesitate to call and speak to our dedicated recruitment team on 01902 847111.
