Job description

Children's Assistant - Complex Care

Location: Garstang

Salary: £10.50 - £12.50ph *Reduced Rate will be paid whilst onsite training/shadowing takes place.

Hours / Shift Pattern: Days 9am-3pm. Nights 10pm-8am.

Do you have experience working with Children within a care setting?

Are you looking to expand your skills and enhance your career to include providing Complex Clinical Care?

We are looking for someone who has experience working in care, preferably with children or complex care.

Our client is a 4 year old boy who has Pompes Disease, is ventilated and has a tracheostomy. He requires assistance with all forms of personal care and his complex care needs.

He is a very sociable little boy and hoping to attend school once discharged from Hospital.

Meeting our client’s social needs and helping to create memories for him and his family is really important.

Our ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate previous experience working with children in a care setting, it would be advantageous if you have complex clinical care experience, as well as being a driver due to the travel to Manchester for initial training.

We offer full comprehensive training for our client’s clinical requirements if required. You will have your training and shadowing at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, as our client is currently situated there. Once training is complete, the role will continue back at the client’s home in Garstang.
