Job description

Apollo Home Healthcare currently has an opportunity available for an experienced Support Worker to support a young adult who has Asperger’s Syndrome and severe Epilepsy.

Our client attends university and requires support throughout the day and night. During term time this will be within her halls of residence and during holidays within her family home.

You will be required to support with daily tasks as well as seizure management. Our client is mobile but does need support at times and can have bad days due to her Asperger’s. She needs someone to with a fun and energetic outlook.

We have a variety of shifts available which include days and sleeping nights. Sleeping nights are from 10pm to 7am and you will be required to sleep in the same room as our client in case of seizures during the night. Day shifts are from 7am to 10pm. Our client also has a PA several days a week from 10am to 3pm who forms part of her care team.

Essential skills We want to hear from experienced healthcare assistants who can demonstrate at least 6 month's previous experience working with clients with complex care needs.

If you can drive and have access to your own care, this would be hugely beneficial.
